Membership Eligibility

Community Developer

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they are primarily engaged in the subdivision and/or servicing and development of land for use in the residential construction industry.

Builder

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they are an experienced builder of houses or residential structures and carries coverage with a Warranty Provider that requires that all eligible homes to be enrolled and that meets the minimum criteria requirements as set out by Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation Insurance. The builder must successfully complete the required education and training courses as specified from time to time by the Board of Directors.

Renovator or Remodeler

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they are primarily engaged in the business of renovations or remodeling activities of residential dwellings, and must be able to abide by the Code of Conduct outlined in the RenoMark™ program. Every business in this category must also become a member in the RenoMark™ program.

Service and Supply

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they are a producer, processor, or distributor of building materials or that they are engaged in providing some form of service to the housing industry.

General Contractor or Sub-Contractor

Shall be open to any person who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they are a general contractor or sub-contractor in the construction of residential structures.

Professional

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that as a professional person they are primarily or substantially engaged in providing professional service to the housing industry.

Financial

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that they are a financier or substantially engaged in providing some form of service to the housing industry.

Affiliate

Shall be open to any person, firm or corporation who demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that while not qualifying for one of the other categories of membership they are engaged in providing some form of service to the housing industry.
