Welcome to Swift Current

Swift Current is a dynamic city of approximately 18,500 people. It is the major population centre for southwest Saskatchewan. The City has become a great stop for tourists with the large volume of non-local traffic passing through on the Trans-Canada Highway.

As the largest center in the southwest region of Saskatchewan, Swift Current is proud to boast a vibrant downtown business core. The City also features two large shopping malls, Swift Current is home to many of the retails giants that exist in larger urban centres. There is a shopping experience for everyone!

Swift Current also offers excellent care for its residents.  The Cypress Regional Hospital, along with the various care centres and government social services, provides care for the City and region. Great care requires outstanding Emergency Services. Swift Current’s Emergency Services includes policing by a municipal detachment of the RCMP, a local fire department, and ambulance services.  In addition, private practices offer professional assistance in medicine, dentistry, optometry, opthamology, accounting, law, etc.

Swift Current offers a variety of housing options. Affordable homes and apartments, to suit all tastes and budgets in safe neighbourhoods, are found throughout the City. Homes in Swift Current are within walking distances to parks, churches, playgrounds, schools, stores, and recreational facilities.
